Metaphorically Speaking

Early on I used the metaphors of architecture or engineering to describe the leader's framework for designing and building teams and organizations. These principles provided an anchor for me as I navigated through dynamic waters.  I then discovered a growing body of knowledge among the organizational development (OD) community on the topics of organizational architecture and organizational engineering. Today I've built OA-OE to keep my hand on the pulse of that community and perhaps (if lucky) contribute to that body both theory and in practice. I am also opening OA-OE to others to participate as a collective. I am excited about the possibilities ahead. So througout OA-OE we'll use the metaphors for learning purposes. We will also look into different bodies of knowledge to draw insight and experience from for learning purposes.
