Development

Organization Development translates the vision of the company into action. This process enhances business performance by effectively addressing the well-being of its members. The OD specialist focuses on design, alignment, accountability, culture shift, team effectiveness, collaboration, and process improvement. The system itself enriches employees, amplifies organizational effectiveness, and improves business performance.

The OD specialist gathers information to address an identifiable problem and works with employees at all levels, especially those closest to the problem, to create a team approach. Team intervention facilitates the alignment of management with the team’s mission and goals and develops effective dynamics for working together to accomplish those goals. The OD specialist analyzes the data, collaborates with key leaders to create a solution, and works with managers to implement the solution. Thus, the organization diagnoses and solves its own problems.

Identity, or organizational culture, is an informal, shared way of perceiving life and membership in the organization: who we are and where we want to go. It binds members together and influences how they think about themselves, their fellow employees, and their work. Culture can have a significant impact on an organization’s economic performance.
